OSHA requires the use of signs and tags to
alert employees exposed to any type of hazard. Effective use of
these markings to warn employees depends upon their ability to catch
the attention of the worker even under emergency conditions and
be immediately and clearly understood.

Willful Violations. Section 17(a)
of the Act provides that an employer who willfully violates the
Act may be assessed a civil penalty of not more than $70,000 but
not less than $5,000 for each violation.
